Pools & Outdoor Living in Midlothian, TX

The whole backyard as one coordinated system — not just the pool.

Pools & Outdoor Living in Midlothian

Big lots and long Texas summers make Midlothian a natural fit for serious outdoor living. The quarter-acre-plus homesites in Hayes Crossing and Dove Creek, the resort-minded master plans like BridgeWater and Redden Farms with their community pools and lakes, and the true one-acre tracts around Mockingbird and Oak Creek Ranch all leave room for what a standard suburban yard can't — a pool with real deck space, a covered pavilion, an outdoor kitchen, and a fire feature that turns the backyard into the part of the house everyone actually uses from April to October.

Designed as one outdoor room

We design the whole backyard as a single project rather than a pool with odds and ends added later: pool and spa, decking and pergolas, covered patios and outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, and the grading and drainage that hold it all together. That last part is where Midlothian earns its reputation — the Blackland Prairie clay under most of the city swells and shrinks dramatically with the weather, so decks, coping, and outdoor slabs have to be engineered for that movement or they crack and heave within a few seasons. We plan drainage away from both the house and the pool shell, and the pool's plumbing and electrical are installed by state-licensed trades and bonded and grounded to code.

Permits, and being straight about distance

Pools, gas lines, and covered structures all require permits and inspections in Midlothian, and the city requires contractors to register before pulling any of them. That registration is free — done in person, by email, by fax, or through the MyGov portal — and it's a local requirement separate from state licensing; from there the Building Inspections Department in Development Services at 215 N. 8th Street handles review and inspections, including the safety-barrier and fencing rules that come with any residential pool.

The Remo Guys are an Allen-based design-build, about 55 miles north, so we take on Midlothian outdoor projects as a destination market — no local showroom, but one accountable crew, scheduled site days, a fixed scope and schedule, and full insured-and-bonded coverage. If your lot has the room, we'll turn it into the reason you stop driving somewhere else on the weekend.
