Custom Home Building in Lewisville, TX

New construction from lot and soil to final styling.

Custom Home Building in Lewisville

Lewisville is largely built out, which changes what custom building looks like here. This isn't a market of wide-open greenfield tracts — it's a market of opportunities hiding inside an established city: an infill lot in an older neighborhood, a tired house near Old Town worth taking down and replacing, or one of the lake-adjacent parcels near Lewisville Lake where a genuine one-off home makes sense. It's a fundamentally different proposition from choosing a floor plan in a production community like the 2,900-acre master-planned neighborhood of Castle Hills. A custom home is designed around your site and your life, start to finish.

Site first, house second

The best custom homes in Lewisville start with the lot, not the rendering. An infill parcel in an older subdivision comes with mature trees worth protecting, existing utility taps, and setback and lot-coverage rules that quietly dictate the footprint. A teardown near Old Town carries its own history and street context. A lake-adjacent lot brings grade, drainage, and view questions, plus North Texas's expansive clay soils, which drive real decisions about foundation design. We work through those realities before anyone falls in love with a floor plan.

Design that belongs on its street

Lewisville's neighborhoods have a settled character — the ranch vernacular of Lewisville Valley, the newer mixed-use fabric taking shape around Old Town with its Legacy Pointe homes and Walters Street brownstones. A custom home doesn't have to imitate its neighbors, but the ones that age well tend to respect the street they sit on. We design to fit the block, not fight it.

The new-construction permit path

A ground-up home is the most involved permit a homeowner will ever pull, and Lewisville routes all of it through a single system. The city's Building Services division at 151 W. Church Street reviews plans and issues the building permit through the MGO Connect (MyGovernmentOnline) online portal, while the state-licensed electrical, plumbing, and mechanical trades pull their own permits under it. Every inspection — foundation and framing through final — is requested and tracked in the same portal. Lewisville also requires the contractor to be registered in MGO Connect before a permit issues; we hold that registration and file under our MGO account, and you're welcome to open one of your own to follow the build inspection by inspection.

Building with The Remo Guys

We're an insured and bonded design-build based in Allen, working across Lewisville and the metroplex. Custom work lives or dies on communication, so we keep the selections, the budget, and the schedule visible the whole way through. To confirm what a specific lot will allow, Lewisville's Building Services division is the place to start — and the MGO Connect portal is where the whole project's paper trail will live.
